The Taste of Home Cooking School, presented by Arkansas Life magazine, brings their “Spring Sensations” tour to the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock Tuesday, May 5. The doors open at 4 p.m. with exhibition booths and the show begins at 6:30 p.m.
Arkansas Life magazine and Culinary Specialist Jamie Dunn are planning an evening packed with creative ideas for spring dining and entertaining. Start with a variety of local vendor exhibits, blend in 10 quick and delicious recipes add a good measure of special door prizes awarded to several lucky winners and top that off with a gift bag for every attendee.
“We have a program chocked-full of fun, food facts and quick-to-fix recipe ideas for you to try at home,” Dunn said. “It’s sure to cure your culinary spring fever! A lively demonstration of impressive dishes that are easy to prepare is soothing medicine to cooks ready to break away from winter-weather cooking.
The Taste of Home “Spring Sensations” program will feature recipes that are fresh, healthy and flavorful.
“Our recipes have an international flavor this season,” states, Jamie Dunn. “Mushroom Napoleon” marries traditional goat cheese with portabella mushrooms for a savory twist to a wholesome culinary sensation. “Mexican Lasagna” will dazzle the palate with zesty salsa and the pungent flavor of cilantro, commonly called Mexican parsley. “Spicy Asian Shrimp Salad” melds lime juice and hot chili paste with spring greens and shrimp for a zippy flavor blast. Awaken your palate to the bold, spicy flavor sensations these dishes will bring to the table.
The Taste of Home Cooking School has been sold out.
